IRIS Formal Quotations module due for an overhaul

Our “Formal Quotations”  (See Quotations/Formal Quotations, Screen 601)  Is overdue for an update.  Over time we have had many suggestions on how to make improvements however we recognize that we are not fully meeting the user’s needs.  We have taken a shotgun approach and fixed or modified those things that have come to our attention.  Use of this module has been lacking and we attribute this to its awkward flow and a lack of functionality.

We are seeking your input and feedback on this project.  We will also be looking for volunteers to test the module as we progress.  Your comments and suggestions are critical to us as we re-design how Formal Quotations are done in IRIS.

Here are the rules:  The sky is the limit, Let us know what you need.

While we cannot incorporate every idea, your thinking should not be limited in scope.  Let us see where the technology limits are and how we can stretch them, a more useful product is our joint objective.

We would like to see delivery of a new and improved Formal Quotations module, at least in Beta test, by the 3rd quarter of this year however, that will depend on the amount of the programming required to meet the objective.

You can leave your comments here or you can contact Jim at NEMRA headquarters.

IRIS Desktop Catalog with WEB Connectivity

Put all of your manufacturers’ catalogs on every desk with IRIS’ desktop catalog application.

A simple to install add-on application for users of IRIS version 3 and above, the Desktop Catalog puts searchable real time catalogs on any desk in your office.

The Desktop Catalog displays: Description, Price, On-Hand and In-Transit quantities along with a web image indicator.

With manufacturer supplied web links, which are easily imported into your IRIS database, a simple click of the mouse will bring you directly to the manufacturer’s web page and each product's full specifications.

Non Warehousing Agents can take advantage of the Desktop Catalog’s web links when preparing cut sheets or reviewing products specifications.

No more thumbing through catalogs and looking at outdated information.

Best of all, it’s a free add-on for supported IRIS users.

For a more detailed explanation and to see how the desktop catalog actually works, visit our You Tube demonstration and training session by clicking the link below.

IRIS Executive Reporting feature

IRIS’s new Executive Reporting feature provides you with the back office information you need to stay on top of your business no matter where you are.

With an easy one-time set-up you can select who receives a daily or on-demand summary of the orders your Agency processes. This easy, agile and robust reporting feature summarizes order information and pushes it to your e-mail or PDA for a quick and accurate snapshot of your Agency.

If you are entering orders on your Vendors system, IRIS’s new simply one-line order entry tool will incorporate that data as well - giving you the total financial picture.

If you are currently a supported IRIS version 3 user your free update, including this new feature, will be available by March 1st 2009.
